Privacy policy
Effective: October 14, 2026
Millpond Web ("we", "us") is a sole proprietorship based in Wisconsin. This policy covers millpondweb.com and the contact form on it. It's written in plain language on purpose.
What we collect
- What you type into the contact form: your name, email address, business name, town and message.
- Technical information needed to deliver the site and stop spam: your IP address and browser details, which our hosting provider and spam check process when you load a page or send the form.
We don't use analytics, advertising trackers or tracking cookies on this site. We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't share it for advertising.
Why we use it
- To reply to you and, if you ask, to build and send you a website preview.
- To keep the form free of spam and abuse.
- If you become a customer, to provide the service and bill for it.
Who else handles it
- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts this site, delivers the form message to our inbox, and runs the spam check (Cloudflare Turnstile) on the form. Turnstile may process your IP address and browser signals to tell people from bots. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Our email provider stores the messages we receive and send.
We may also share information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Form messages stay in our email for as long as we're in contact with you, and up to two years after the last message, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Customer and billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.
Your choices
Email hello@millpondweb.com to ask what we have about you, to correct it, or to delete it. We'll do it unless we have to keep something for legal or billing reasons, and we'll tell you if so.
Website previews
A preview we build for a business uses only details the business has already made public, such as its name, address, phone number and hours. Previews are private links, hidden from search engines, and are removed if the business doesn't want the site. A business can ask us to take its preview down at any time.
Children
This site is for businesses and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
